1- Products, services, companies, people, ideas, etc. Cities and even countries can be branded.

2- If we consider the issue of "Branding of Cities", the first and most important issue in this regard is that the mayor or governor of the city (it is much more important and valuable for both of them to want it together) wants this job with great enthusiasm and positions it at the most important place among their priority tasks. It is essential. It is not possible to brand a city without at least one of the two important people of the city (preferably both) wanting to do this job and channeling most of their power to this job.

3- The next most important issue is that the mayor and governor of the city are aware of how difficult it is to brand a product in the private sector, for example, and that they are aware that they cannot do this job with their own knowledge, skills and experience (this job has completely different areas of expertise). When such an idea arises, as in almost every job, they should not believe in advance that some of their relatives or close employees around them say that they can do this job successfully, that they want to undertake this job, and that they are very willing and sometimes even very insistent about it. These people are generally interest groups consisting of people who think they are experts on everything, without knowing exactly what is what, and who do not know what they do not know. This issue is of great importance in almost every business.

4- After all the prerequisites we have written, the mayor or governor of the city (the person / people who will prioritize this job) should first of all research the person / companies who can do this issue best from the Internet, together with themselves and the closest person or assistants they can trust in everything, are the leading first steps. 5- Another important issue should be explained here; Since there are very few people / companies that have been successful by getting support / advice from other people / companies in the world about the "branding of a city" and have branded a city, region or district, the number of people or companies that have branded a reference city, region or district in this regard is extremely small all over the world. Since the branding of a city is a long-term and very costly task, mayors or governors may change during this long process, the necessary funds, resources, investors sometimes cannot be found for the necessary works, various interest groups may enter into Deceptive work, for these and similar reasons, these works may usually be half-finished, it may be difficult to get on, they may be terminated before the work is finished. For these reasons, there are very few examples of branding of a city in the world. As it can be understood from this, mayors or governors who will take up the branding of cities should take these important issues into account in advance and it is recommended.

For the reasons we wrote above and similar reasons, there are almost no people / companies that have branded one or many cities, accumulated references, or there are almost none). For this reason, rather than references, it will be a more appropriate way to research, examine, find people / companies that can do this job.

For example, Eskişehir in our country is a city that was wanted to be branded by the honorable mayor and branded. This has not been easy, the process has taken 15-20 years, and there has been a success.

An important example from the world is Dubai. The process started here 15-20 years ago, it is still ongoing and this city has been branded. Big money has been spent, is being spent. In other words, as a result, the number of cities that want to be branded in our country and in the world and have been branded is extremely small. For this reason, it will be the right way to work with the people who can do this job best.

This is the most important reason why brands cannot be created all over the world and in our country, the quality of our cities, which is one of the most important elements in "Branding", despite the fact that our cities spend a lot of money, and are at very low aesthetic levels, for this reason local residents and tradesmen are not happy here, people want to go to other cities, investors do not come, so new job sites are not opened, people are unemployed, domestic or foreign tourists do not come to visit these places.




8- How do we work?

Regarding the "branding of a city", the mayor or governor of the city that wants to be branded should first of all have approved knowledge and opinion on the issues we have written above (it is a priority preference that both of them have the same opinion and thought for the same goal), and secondly, they should be very willing to do this are the first conditions.
